1. Acne / Pimples

Acne has many variations, such as pimples, black heads, white heads, zits, papules, pustules, nodules, cysts, acne rosacea, acne conglobata and acne scars. The skin regimen works by itself to cure acne in its mild form.

However severe acne formation needs medical intervention. Acne can appear because of excessive sebum production, clogging of pores, accumulation of external/ internal toxin, lack of vitamins, improper diet, etc. Acne can appear on the face, chest, back and upper arms. PERFECT POINT offers different technologies that are suitable for treating mild to most stubborn and active Acne.

Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) offers gentle, yet effective treatment for acne & pimples reduction with ‘no side effects’. IPL Photo-rejuvenation technology improves the appearance of the skin, by treating broken capillaries and acne scars. IPL gently delivers precise amounts of light energy to the skin’s surface, to stimulate the production of collagen, which improves the appearance of skin.

Nd: Yag long pulse laser enables deep penetration and its homogeneous absorption in skin eradicates the bacteria in pores, while accelerating collagen regeneration. Thus, it effectively helps in prevention as well as reduction of acne / pimple inflammations.

2. Anti Ageing

Ageing thins the outer layer of the skin or the epidermis even though the number of cell layers remains unchanged. The number of melanocytes decreases, but the remaining melanocytes increase in size.

Ageing skin, thus, appears thinner and more translucent. Age spots or liver spots may appear in sun-exposed areas. Changes in the connective tissue reduce the strength and elasticity of the skin. This is known as elastosis and is especially presented in sun-exposed areas.

Causes Of Aging

  • The loss of the repairing potentiality of DNA and the inability of the body cells to grow after a certain age lead to ageing. This is considered as one of the most possible causes of ageing.
  • Long-term exposure to the harmful UV rays of the sun, deficiency of antioxidants, stress, metabolic disorders, and other environmental toxins accelerate the ageing process.

3. Acne & Scar Reduction

Acne is a disease of the hair follicles of the face, chest and back that affects almost all teenagers during puberty. It is not caused by bacteria, although bacteria play a role in its development. It is not unusual for some women to develop acne in their late 20’s.

When you have just a few red spots or pimples, you have a mild form of acne. Severe acne can cause hundreds of pimples that can cover the face, neck, chest, and back. Or, it can be bigger and look like solid red lumps that are painful.

Generally, it gets cured without treatment after the teen years. Some women who never had acne on their face can have it even after becoming adults, often right before their menstrual period.

Causes Of Acne

  • Pressure: In some patients, pressure from helmets, chin straps, collars, suspenders, and the like can provoke acne.
  • Occupations: In some jobs, exposure to industrial products like cutting oils may produce acne.
  • Cosmetics: Some cosmetics and skincare products clog the pore. The water-based products are the best for those with acne. Using oil-based skin products or cosmetics can worsen the acne.

4. Pigmentation

Hyperpigmentation is a very common and distressing skin condition. It is marked by the presence of uneven dark patches in an otherwise even skin tone. Our skin colour is determined by the pigment Melanin – a substance produced by special cells called Melanocytes. When these cells overproduce the amount of melanin hyperpigmentation occurs.

This can be caused by excessive sun exposure, hormonal changes, genetic factor or drug reaction. The skin condition can be present in various forms ,such as Melasma, Lentigenes or liver spots, Ephelides or freckles , Post- inflammatory hyperpigmentation, post acne scars, birthmarks, moles and ageing spots.

A consultation with a dermatologist is the first step in the treatment of hyperpigmentation. It will help in identifying the pigmentation condition with a visual examination and relevant medical history. Apart from the topical medications and sunscreens, hyperpigmentation can also be treated by special skin treatments such as Diamond polishing, Beauty light oxygen therapy; Vit C serum oxyjetting and oxy clear face therapy. These treatments give excellent results and make the skin fairer. Also many options are available in the realm of new world technology lasers like Nd YAG 1064 nm Long pulse Laser, Q-Switch Nd YAG 1064 nm and Affirm fractional laser.
